Chapter 3

Chapter 3: Back to the Neighborhood

By the time they got back to their own neighborhood, the sun was high in the sky and it was getting hot. They found some of their friends running through the sprinklers, and they joined them. It was Sequel, Max, Fluffy, and the poodle twins, Cupcake, and Pancake.. 

"Hi everyone!" said Furry, Ned, and Choo Choo. "Let's all play tag in the sprinkler. You're it, Pancake!"

"Ok, I'm going to get you!" said Pancake.

After a little while, as they were drying off in the sun, Ned said, "Guys, I'm getting hungry. For some reason, I'm craving pancakes and cupcakes. Let's go to the bakery and see what we can get!"

So all the dogs ran down to the bakery that was run by Mr. Delicious. 

"The last one there is a rotten pup!" shouted Choo Choo.

When they got there a boy was there helping Mr. Delicious to make donuts. They learned his name. It was Helper Bobby, and even thought he was just a kid, he liked to help lots of people in the community.

He got them some doggy pancakes and cupcakes. Helper Bobby told them he would adopt the three dogs if his mom said it was ok, but she wouldn't be back from her work trip until next week.

The pups jumped up and down in excitement. "Yippee!!" They might have a new home soon!!!

When they got back to the neighborhood, they saw a cat. 

"Hey!" said Furry. "Let's bark at the cat over there for one minute!"

{1 Hour Later, still barking at the cat}

After they were finally done barking at the cat, three new dogs came over and started bullying them and making fun of them for not having a home. Luckily, Helper Bobby was walking home from the bakery and heard it all, and he told the new dogs that if they were bullying they would have to leave, so they went away.

The three dogs were tired after a long fun day, so they decided to go back to their boxes and get some sleep.
